The site houses a number of viral and parasitic agents which are used to create creatures and B.O.W.s to sell on the market for warfare or tactical operations. There are a variety of rules regarding the agents which covers how infective it is, the effects of infection, how long it incubates, stat changes, and abilities granted by the agent. Each of these is covered in-depth below, but before hand, the template should be presented.

Pretty intimidating template isn't it? Luckily few of you will ever be burdened with having to deal with it because almost all of the viruses and parasites in the Resident Evil Canon are provided here, and only if you want to create a custom agent will you need to use this. Custom agents are very difficult to obtain and have their own section later on at the end of this guide. For now, lets go down the list of information you'll need and the specifics about the template.

Of course, it would be best to use an example, so lets use the most iconic virus, the T-Virus (or Tyrant Virus)...

Name: Tyrant Virus (T-Virus)
Type: Virus
Infection: The T-Virus is one of the most basic and versatile viruses that is in use, able to infect through bodily fluids, ingestion, or inhalation of high concentrations of the virus. The virus was originally designed to reanimate the body, though it was a failure as corpses only regained marginally bodily control and grew an insatiable hunger for flesh. This is caused by the viruses need for energy, which is takes from the infected's tissue (causing a decay similar to undead, causing the t-virus infected to be addressed as zombies) if they fail to consume other tissue. The virus removes any feelings of pain, greatly reduces their mental abilities (making them mindless eating machines), and destroys the muscles in the body making them very sluggish and slow. The virus kills those it infects, if they were living, and the reanimates them. Death occurs in 10 posts, reanimation 5 posts after that. The status changes occur upon reanimation, though the virus can only be halted by an antidote within the first 3 posts of infection.

Mutation: Yes, T-Virus infected are able to undergo an involuntary evolution into further levels of infection as the virus spreads throughout the body. If an infected individual is knocked unconscious, without being killed, or if the specimen is left alone for a long enough period of time, the virus will rapidly evolved over three posts as the blood in the body begins to course anew. The skin becomes red and all regenerative properties are lost (-10 HP), but intelligence is heightened (+10 Intellect) as is its strength (+5 Strength), its speed (+5 Speed), its agility (+5 Dexterity), and its physical endurance (+5 Endurance.) This level of creature is known as a Crimson Head for its crimson coloration and incredibly heightened aggressiveness.

Should a Crimson Head be left for an extended period of time, then it can undergo further evolution into a Licker, gaining a prehensile and powerful tongue (5 damage, +3 Dex, .5 AP to attack with) along with further increases in strength (+3 Strength) and speed (+3 Speed.) Lickers are assumed to be the final stage of the viruses ability to mutate the human body, but this may not be the case since the discovery of Lickers is fairly recent.

Name~ This part is pretty self-explainatory, its simply the name of the virus, which includes as many names as it is commonly known by. The majority of viral agents come from the T-Virus, and thus have T in their names symbolizing this. This is a very simple part of the template, not much explanation is needed so moving on...

Type~ Another simple portion, is it a virus or a parasite? Only a few parasites exist in the canon, all of the variants of the Plagas, so most of the time this section will say virus. The differences bettween a parasite and a virus should be common knowledge so not much is needed to be explained here either...

Infection~ Heres our real matter for discussion, the meat of the template, infection. This section normally contains how the agent infects a being, and this can vary from close exposure (radiation) to injection from the easiest to the hardest infectivity type. Blood, fluids, water, air, food, and others are much more common ways of infection. This section also provides information on how the virus works, if known, and how long the virus takes to achieve its effects. A period of time is usually alloted for antidotes as well, since the agents usually progress very quickly and don't permit much time to be reversed. Lethality is also mentioned as many agents can kill, or they are designed to kill and then reanimate.

Status: Once the virus reaches a certain stage, detailed in the infection portion, this section provides the primary stat changes that the agent causes. Mutations that occur further on with have their stat changes noted appropriately, and this is fairly easy to grasp as well. The stats are either increased or reduced and then recalculated, not too difficult of a concept to understand...

Mutation: Numerous agents are able to cause a mutation to occur in an infected individual that furthers the lifespan of the agent by empowering its host. These are usually involuntary and the mutations typically occur either as a naturally evolution of the virus, or due to a trigger which is mentioned should one exist. Please note that triggers must be activated through legit RP, though with certain skills you can trigger a mutation of your own choice if you possess a virus that has triggered mutations or if you simply wish to quickly advance to the next stage. The skills have more complex rules on the matter.

Most mutations must be registered and there is a proper template that must be filled out in order to receive the mutation benefits of a virus or parasite. The template is below:

(Note: Please note that infected individuals are typically incapable of using weapons of any sort unless the virus they are infected states that it enables an individual to retain this particular ability and thus be able to do so. )

Other than what is mentioned any special rules regarding an agent are usually explained and clearly defined in the appropriate section of the information about it.
